German Umlauts are Apparently Forbidden

My colleague Björn couldn't transfer to our Berlin office because his name in Workday was entered as 'Bjorn'. The system couldn't handle the umlaut (ö). This led to weeks of back‑and‑forth with HR, multiple system errors, and a near‑cancellation of his transfer. All because of a single character that's common in the German language. It's absurd for a global HR platform.
